Licensing Model
SynapSync infrastructure is licensed on a perpetual, site-based model designed for organizations that require long-term operational certainty. Unlike subscription-based software, a SynapSync license does not expire, cannot be revoked remotely, and does not require ongoing connectivity to remain active.
Once licensed and deployed, your SynapSync system continues to operate regardless of SynapSync's commercial status, product roadmap decisions, or any external event. This is a deliberate design requirement for infrastructure deployed in security-critical environments.
License Types
SynapSync offers two primary license structures:
Site License: Covers deployment of the SynapSync Secure AI Infrastructure Platform within a defined physical or logical perimeter. A site license permits unlimited instances within that perimeter, including redundancy, failover, and testing deployments. Appropriate for single-facility or single-organization deployments.
Enterprise License: Covers deployment across multiple sites within a single organizational entity. Enterprise licenses include negotiated terms for multi-facility deployments, internal redistribution rights, and expanded support arrangements. Appropriate for organizations with distributed operations or multi-facility infrastructure requirements.
What the License Covers
- Perpetual Usage Rights: The right to operate the licensed SynapSync software and model weights indefinitely, without ongoing payment requirements beyond the initial license fee.
- Internal Deployment: The right to deploy, configure, copy for backup purposes, and operate SynapSync infrastructure within the licensed perimeter.
- Update Access: Access to software updates and model weight updates released during the support period (typically 3 years from license date). Updates are delivered offline and applied at customer discretion.
- Technical Documentation: Full access to technical documentation, integration specifications, and operational procedures.
What the License Does Not Cover
- Redistribution of SynapSync software or model weights to third parties outside the licensed organization
- Commercial resale or sublicensing to other organizations
- Deployment beyond the licensed perimeter without an expanded license agreement
- Reverse engineering or modification of model weights
Privacy and Data Terms
SynapSync collects no telemetry, usage data, or operational information from deployed systems. By design, SynapSync has no mechanism to observe or record customer operations. Customer data processed by SynapSync infrastructure remains exclusively within the customer's environment.
SynapSync does not sell, share, or otherwise disclose customer information to third parties. The only information SynapSync retains is the information required to manage the commercial relationship: contact information, license terms, and support history.
Custom Terms
For organizations with specific legal requirements, regulatory constraints, or procurement standards, SynapSync negotiates custom license terms on a case-by-case basis. Common customizations include specific data residency commitments, escrow arrangements for source code, custom audit rights, and jurisdiction-specific legal terms.
